Kirsten Mears is an advocate dedicated to voicing the needs of her community members on a daily basis. Kirsten's recent work involves serving individuals with intellectual disabilities for a local non-for-profit in Quakertown, PA. Prior to this, Kirsten participated in mission trips to Mexico and volunteered with her local place of worship. Kirsten's true passion is delivering quality, affordable healthcare to vulnerable populations. Seeing the daily struggle and the limited resources of the population she serves, Kirsten seeks to end the injustice so often encountered in the healthcare system and make affordable healthcare a right for all. As a member with Ri'ayah, Kirsten will take her passion and serve alongside her fellow cooperatives to push for better health outcomes. Education:
Kirsten received a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy from Pennsylvania State University-Lehigh Valley. She is currently seeking to obtain her master’s degree in public health from Thomas Jefferson University. |
